Frequently Asked QuestionsQ - Why can't I post to the Trailex? A - You need to make sure of the following: a) you have registered with your correctly spelled email address via our online form. , b) you responded to the confirmation email that was sent to you immediately after registering, and c) there are no typos in your email address when you make posts. Q - Why do I get posts emailed to me? I didn't check off that box! A - You most likely didn't respond to the confirmation/validation email in an timely manner. You need to respond within 1 hour otherwise delivery is turned on by default (a small bug that we haven't solved yet, sorry for the inconvenience). See the next FAQ to turn off delivery. Q - I'm getting posts delivered to my email address. I don't want that. How to I prevent this? A - To turn off delivery, first of all make sure you have already responded to the confirmation/validation email, THEN revisit the site and re-register via our online form, making sure that the checkbox is cleared. Q - I got a message saying I'm already subscribed when what I really want is to disable delivery. What's wrong? A - This is another minor bug in our system. If you made sure that the checkbox was cleared, you will get a strange email saying you're already subscribed, BUT your delivery should also be suspended in the future. Email us if for some strange reason you're still receiving posts even after following the steps in the above FAQ. Q - Can I make specialised settings to my subscription, such as digested emails (once a day, week, etc.), or other tweaks? A - See http://four.pairlist.net/mailman/options/trailex for a special list interface. Use at your own risk. This is not supported by Trailex admin at all. Visit the Mailman web site for comprehensive help on using this interface if you are truly set and determined to figure it out on your own and please do not email us asking us for help on how to use it. Q - I tried turning off delivery using the online form as suggested above, but I'm still getting posts. STOP SENDING ME THOSE POSTS! A - Normally you can unsubscribe via the registration/change delivery options form as described above. If this doesn't work (this has only happened to two persons so far), the explanation for this is very probably that you forgot the original password you used to subscribe. Don't despair. Here is how to get yourself unsubscribed: 1. Go to the Trailex member options page at http://four.pairlist.net/mailman/options/trailex. Enter your email address and password to access your options. If you've forgotten your password, scroll down to the section that says "Password reminder" and click the button AFTER ENTERING YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN THE BOX PROVIDED. Your password will be mailed to your email's inbox.2. Once you've accessed your options page, scroll down to where it says "Unsubscribing from trailex", check the checkbox, and click the button. If you still can't figure it out after reading and trying this and the above FAQs then send us an email at admin@trailex.org. But really, this will work if you follow the directions correctly. |
